View Job- Assessment and Planning: Conducting assessments to understand the needs of looked after children and developing care plans to ensure their well-being.
- Support and Advocacy: Providing emotional and practical support to children, advocating for their needs, and ensuring their voices are heard in decision-making processes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with foster carers, residential staff, schools, and other professionals to provide a holistic approach to the child’s care.
- Safeguarding: Ensuring the safety and protection of children, addressing any safeguarding concerns promptly.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintaining accurate records of the child’s progress and preparing reports for court proceedings and reviews.
Skills Required:
- Empathy and Compassion: Understanding and addressing the emotional needs of children in care.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with children, families, and professionals.
