View JobCentral Bedfordshire Council is looking for a dedicated Looked After Children (LAC) Social Worker to join our Children’s Services team. This role involves working with children and young people who are in the care system, ensuring their safety, well-being, and progression towards permanent, stable placements. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality assessments, care planning, and advocacy for looked after children.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of looked after children, carrying out assessments, reviews, and care planning in line with statutory requirements.

Work closely with foster carers, residential homes, education providers, and health professionals to promote the best outcomes for children.

Attend and contribute to LAC reviews, court proceedings, and multi-agency meetings.

Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with Central Bedfordshire Council’s policies and statutory guidance.
