View JobSouth Gloucestershire Council is looking for an experienced and proactive Social Worker to join the Adult Safeguarding Team. The role involves managing safeguarding enquiries under the Care Act 2014, working with vulnerable adults at risk of abuse or neglect. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation and excellent multi-agency working skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Undertake and coordinate Section 42 safeguarding enquiries and develop risk management or protection plans.

Work closely with service users, carers, advocates, health, police, and other partner agencies.

Conduct Mental Capacity Assessments and contribute to Best Interest decisions as appropriate.

Maintain accurate, clear, and timely case records in line with statutory duties and local procedures.

Promote a strengths-based approach that upholds dignity, choice, and independence for adults at risk.
