View JobAs a Locum Social Worker acting as Chair for Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews at Lambeth Council, you will be responsible for independently chairing statutory reviews of children in care. You will ensure that each child’s care plan is regularly reviewed, that their voice is heard, and that their needs are met in line with statutory requirements and best practice.
Key Responsibilities:

Independently chair LAC review meetings, ensuring the process is child-centered and inclusive of the child’s views and wishes.

Monitor and review care plans to ensure they are effective, up-to-date, and in line with statutory guidelines.

Liaise with social workers, carers, health professionals, and other stakeholders to coordinate information and progress for each child.

Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks relating to looked after children and safeguarding.

Prepare accurate records and reports from review meetings to support decision-making and service improvement.
