ornwall Council is looking for a dedicated and experienced Child Protection Assessments Social Worker to join our frontline Safeguarding and Assessment team. The role involves undertaking timely, child-centred assessments under the Children Act 1989 to identify risks and needs, safeguard children, and support families towards positive outcomes. Key Responsibilities:

Conduct statutory assessments, including Child and Family Assessments and Section 47 enquiries, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory guidance.

Engage with children, families, and multi-agency partners to develop effective safeguarding and care plans.

Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences, legal proceedings, and case reviews.

Maintain accurate and timely case records in accordance with Cornwall Council’s policies and professional standards.
