Hertfordshire County Council is offering an exciting opportunity for newly qualified or early-career social workers to join our Child Protection team with full support through the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE). You’ll work alongside experienced practitioners and benefit from structured development, reflective supervision, and manageable caseloads as you build your professional confidence and capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake assessments and develop child protection plans in line with statutory requirements and local practice standards.
Participate fully in the ASYE programme, including protected caseloads, regular supervision, and tailored training sessions.
Engage with children and families using a strengths-based and trauma-informed approach, ensuring their voices shape the planning process.
Work closely with multi-agency partners, including schools, health professionals, and police, to coordinate effective safeguarding interventions.
