View JobKent County Council is seeking a committed and experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker (QSW) to join their Child Protection Team. This role involves managing complex safeguarding cases, conducting investigations, and working closely with families to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in statutory child protection work and excellent communication and assessment skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of children subject to Child Protection Plans and undertake Section 47 enquiries.

Conduct thorough risk assessments and develop effective child-centred care plans.

Work collaboratively with families, multi-agency partners, and legal professionals to safeguard children.

Attend and contribute to child protection conferences, strategy meetings, and court hearings.

Prepare clear, detailed, and timely reports and documentation to support safeguarding processes.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in compliance with Kent County Council’s policies and statutory requirements.
