Position: MRI Tech

Over Time Rules: Overtime after 40hrs worked

Start Date: TBC

Guaranteed Hours per Week: 36 hrs; 7:00 am – 7:30 pm EST; Monday 10:30 am – 11:00 pm EST, on-call, callback, holidays as needed.

Are you an experienced MRI Tech ready to take on a travel assignment? Join us for a 13-week contract in Rochester, NY. This position offers a competitive weekly pay package, along with the opportunity to work with advanced MRI technology and high-acuity cases.

Assignment Info

  • Contract Length: 13 weeks

  • Start Date: TBD (Onboarding may take ~14 days)

  • Shift Schedule: Day shifts with rotating call shifts (Includes weekends, holidays, on-call, callback, as needed)

  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

  • OT Pay: After 40 hours


Pay Package (Weekly, 36 hrs Guaranteed)

  • Weekly Gross: $2,924.00

  • Taxable Income: $1,440.00 ($40/hr up to 40 hrs)

  • Non-Taxable Stipends: $1,484.00

  • Overtime Rate: $60.00/hr


MRI Technologist Job Summary

We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team. You must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology; certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus. Our ideal candidate knows how to operate the MRI machine efficiently, can make patients feel comfortable before and during the scanning procedure, and coordinates with the patient’s physician to ensure the results are received in a timely manner. You also must be familiar with medical terminology and be able to stand for extended periods.

MRI Technologist Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 
– Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
– Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
– Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
– Insert IVs when necessary for the test
– Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
– Patient care tasks as needed


Requirements

  • License: Active NY MRI Tech License

  • Certifications:

    • BLS (AHA only)

  • Experience:

    • Minimum 2 years of MRI tech experience

    • Proficiency with MRI scanners, including troubleshooting

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

    • Experience with patient care and support during procedures
