This locum position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive multidisciplinary team (MDT), delivering high-quality assessment, rehabilitation, and discharge planning for older adults. • Work closely with occupational therapists, nurses, doctors, and other team members to deliver coordinated care.
  • Assess and manage falls risk, mobility difficulties, and functional decline in older adults.
  • Record accurate clinical documentation in accordance with NHS standards and HCPC requirements.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives within the rehab team.
  • Provide patient education and advice to promote safe movement, self-management, and confidence in daily living.
  • Work autonomously, managing your own caseload while maintaining effective communication with the wider MDT.

About You

You are an empathetic and organised Physiotherapist with experience in older people’s rehabilitation or community care. You have a strong understanding of mobility, falls management, and functional recovery in older adults. You thrive in a collaborative team environment and are passionate about delivering patient-centred, evidence-based care.

Requirements

  • Post-qualification experience in older people’s rehabilitation, community rehab, or inpatient therapy settings.
  • Proficient in assessment, treatment planning, and discharge coordination.
  • Strong understanding of falls prevention, mobility assessment, and functional rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills within a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage a part-time caseload effectively.
  • Knowledge of NHS systems, documentation standards, and safeguarding principles.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous professional development.
