Job details: Disability Services. Experienced Occupational Therapist required to assess people in receipt of a package of care to ensure high quality OT interventions supporting people to live safely and independently in their homes and facilitate timely hospital discharge. Experience in single handed care, as well as moving and handling, equipment & adaptations is essential.
• Degree in Occupational Therapy
• Must be registered with Health Professions Council (HPC)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with older people and people with mental health or physical disabilities
• The ability to build strong working partnerships;
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Decision making and organisational skills;
• The ability to explain, and encourage and build confidence;
• The ability to create a rapport with a range of people, especially people with disabilities.
Health and Safety: Awareness of health & safety issues. Personal Protective Equipment. Must be of smart appearance.
Initial 6 month contract – likely to be extended further
Working hours: Monday to Friday.
