Role Overview:
An experienced Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist is required to join Croydon Health Services for a 12-month locum post. The role focuses on working with children who have physical disabilities and those requiring Alternative & Augmentative Communication (AAC).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver highly specialist assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and discharge planning for children with speech, language, communication, and eating & drinking difficulties.

  • Work within the Special Needs Team to provide an effective, coordinated Speech and Language Therapy service.

  • Lead on AAC policy development within paediatric SLT across the Borough.

  • Provide specialist support within a school for children with physical disabilities and across the wider paediatric SLT service.

  • Supervise and support Band 5, Band 6 and Band 7 SLTs.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with HCPC and RCSLT registration.

  • Significant post-qualification experience in paediatrics, with expertise in AAC and physical disabilities.

  • Strong leadership, teamworking, and service development skills.

Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
