Role Summary:

Provide professional Occupational Therapy support within the Housing team to improve accessibility and independence for people with disabilities.
-
Maximise availability and suitability of accessible housing for households in need.
-
Work collaboratively across services to ensure practical, person-centered solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Assess housing needs of people with disabilities and identify households most in need of accessible housing.
-
Match applicants to suitable properties as they become available.
-
Provide professional OT advice within the Disability and Home Improvement Service and other services as required.
-
Contribute to improving housing supply and quality for people with disabilities.
-
Offer practical, professional, and customer-focused solutions to housing-related matters referred to the team.
Skills & Experience Required:
-
Qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
-
Experience in Housing Occupational Therapy or similar roles.
-
Knowledge of accessibility standards and adaptations for people with disabilities.
-
Strong communication, assessment, and problem-solving skills.
-
Ability to work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams and other services.
Working Hours:

Standard working hours within local authority services; flexible to service requirements.
