We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Child Protection Conference Chair to lead statutory child protection conferences, ensuring robust planning, independent oversight, and that the voice of the child remains central to all decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Chair Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences: Facilitate high-quality, multi-agency discussions to develop and monitor child protection plans that are SMART and outcome-focused.
Provide Independent Scrutiny: Offer critical analysis and challenge to ensure thresholds are applied correctly and that social work interventions are timely, proportionate, and effective.
Ensure Child-Centred Planning: Promote and embed the voice and lived experience of the child within all stages of safeguarding planning.
Contribute to Service Development: Support quality assurance through audits, learning reviews, and feedback to drive continuous improvement across children’s services.
