London Borough of Merton Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Speech and Language Therapist for a 3-month fixed-term role, with an hourly commitment of 36 hours per week. The role involves providing assessment and therapy across inpatient, community, and acute settings for both adults and paediatric patients with a range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing needs.

  • Conduct assessment, diagnosis, and management of adults and children with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties across multiple settings.

  • Deliver evidence-based, person-centred therapy programmes to support recovery, communication, and safe swallowing.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and carers to ensure coordinated and effective care.

  • Contribute to treatment planning, care pathways, and intervention strategies across inpatient, community, and acute settings.

  • Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports to support service delivery and audit requirements.

  • Participate in professional development, reflective practice, and quality improvement activities to maintain high standards of care.
