Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum)

About the Role

 

Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the inpatient therapy team at Aintree Hospital. This role is based within an acute medical setting, delivering high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention to adult inpatients.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment and treatment for inpatients within acute medicine.
  • Undertake functional and mobility assessments to support rehabilitation.
  • Assess, recommend and provide appropriate equipment to facilitate safe mobility and independence.
  • Contribute to effective discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Attend and contribute to board rounds and MDT meetings.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.

 

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Experience working in an acute inpatient medical setting.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning and discharge planning skills.
  • Experience with equipment provision and functional assessment.
  • Ability to work effectively within a fast-paced MDT environment.

 

Working Hours

 

  • Shift pattern: 08:00 – 16:00.

 

An excellent opportunity to work within a busy acute inpatient therapy service at Aintree Hospital.
