Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist – Band 7

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Senior Pelvic Health Physiotherapist – Band 7 for a locum opportunity with East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust, working across Brookfields Hospital, Cambridge and Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely. Working within the Cambridgeshire NHS, you will provide specialist assessment and management of Pelvic Health conditions for both male and female patients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with strong NHS and community experience. You will manage a range of pelvic health and continence conditions, using specialist clinical assessment skills to develop appropriate evidence-based treatment and management plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake specialist assessment and management of Pelvic Health conditions affecting male and female patients.
  • Assess and manage symptoms associated with stress urinary incontinence and overactive bladder.
  • Assess and manage voiding dysfunction and bowel dysfunction.
  • Provide specialist assessment and management for pelvic organ prolapse and pelvic pain.
  • Undertake appropriate digital vaginal and/or rectal examinations as part of specialist pelvic health assessment.
  • Develop individualised treatment and management plans based on clinical assessment and patient needs.
  • Provide specialist advice, education, and support to patients regarding pelvic health and continence conditions.
  • Work autonomously within a specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapy caseload.
  • Maintain accurate and comprehensive clinical documentation and patient records.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and wider healthcare professionals to support coordinated patient care.
  • Use clinical systems effectively, including System 1.
  • Maintain professional standards and deliver evidence-based Pelvic Health Physiotherapy interventions.

About You

You will be a highly experienced Band 7 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with specialist expertise in Pelvic Health and continence conditions. You will be confident assessing and managing complex pelvic health presentations and undertaking digital vaginal and/or rectal examinations as clinically appropriate.

You will have previous NHS and community experience, together with strong autonomous working, clinical reasoning, and patient management skills. Experience using System 1 is also required.

Requirements

  • Relevant Physiotherapy degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Specialist experience in Pelvic Health and continence Physiotherapy.
  • Experience assessing and managing male and female Pelvic Health conditions.
  • Competence in digital vaginal and/or rectal examination.
  • Experience managing conditions including stress urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, voiding dysfunction, bowel dysfunction, pelvic organ prolapse, and pelvic pain.
  • Previous experience working within the NHS and community settings.
  • Competence using System 1.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously within a specialist clinical caseload.
