Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist for a locum role within North East London NHS. This position sits within a community physiotherapy service, supporting patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions.

The Physiotherapist will manage a caseload of MSK patients, providing assessment, treatment, and onward referrals where required. The role involves delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions, supporting recovery, and improving functional outcomes for patients within the community.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with a range of musculoskeletal conditions.
• Manage an MSK caseload within a community setting.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans.
• Provide onward referrals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and administrative records.
• Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Utilise clinical systems including RIO for record keeping and data management.

About You

You will be an experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist with a strong background in
community or outpatient MSK services. You will demonstrate confident clinical reasoning and the ability
to manage a varied caseload independently.

You will also have strong communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients and
multidisciplinary teams, as well as maintaining high standards of clinical documentation.

Requirements

• Recognised qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Experience working as a musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
• Experience using RIO system (essential).
• NHS Smartcard required.
• Experience with e-referrals desirable.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good IT skills including use of Excel.

• Role: MSK Physiotherapist – Band 6

• Schedule: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:00 or 08:30–16:30
