View JobSpecialist pharmacy technician accountable for maintaining the day-to-day pharmacy technician services provided to Welney Ward, Princess of Wales Hospital, Ely. Support the pharmacist in the provision of clinical pharmacy services, to include specialties such as elderly, rehabilitation, stroke and palliative care. Undertake medicines reconciliation / assessment of patient’s own medicines for newly admitted patients, resolve problems, and document issues accurately on electronic patient record systems. Order medicines for patients and ward stock. Attend weekly team MDT meetings to support patient’s during their stay and prepare for discharge. Support patient’s and nursing staff with self-administration of medicines to contribute towards promoting rehabilitation and independence. Liaise with community pharmacies on admission and discharge where necessary.
Provide pharmacy technician support to CPFT bases in Cambridge.
