Job Summary
- We are looking for a qualified and motivated Pharmacy Technician with NHS experience to join our pharmacy team in Aintree.
- The post holder will contribute to the provision of a safe, effective, and efficient pharmacy service, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and medicines management across the department.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Dispense, prepare, and supply medicines in line with legal and professional standards.
- Support the clinical pharmacy team in providing accurate and timely pharmaceutical advice.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and distribution of medicines within the department.
- Assist in the implementation of safe systems for the storage and handling of medicines.
- Participate in clinical audits, service evaluations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with NHS and GPhC requirements.
- Provide support and guidance to patients and healthcare staff regarding the safe use of medicines.
- Contribute to training and mentoring of junior staff or apprentices as required.
Essential Criteria
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- NHS experience in a hospital or primary care setting.
- NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent qualification).
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
