We are seeking a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist to join Dorset Council’s dedicated team, based in Dorchester, Ferndown, or Sherborne. This varied role offers the opportunity to work across both community and inpatient settings, supporting adults with a range of health and social care needs. You will carry out holistic assessments, deliver person-centred interventions, and work closely with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to promote independence, safe discharge, and long-term wellbeing.

Deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions in both community and inpatient settings

Support timely discharge planning and rehabilitation through collaborative working with health and social care teams

Provide specialist advice and recommendations on equipment, adaptations, and functional support

Work closely with service users and their carers to develop person-centred care plans that promote independence

Maintain accurate documentation in line with HCPC, RCOT, and Dorset Council standards

Participate in clinical supervision, service development, and ongoing professional learning activities
