About the Role
Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 5 or 6 Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join the Children’s Therapies Service. This short-term locum role requires a therapist with strong paediatric clinical skills and experience working with children with a range of developmental, sensory and physical needs.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessments and reviews within a paediatric clinic setting.
- Work with children with ASD, sensory processing difficulties and physical disabilities.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions, programmes and recommendations tailored to individual needs.
- Complete accurate and timely note keeping using Emis systems.
- Prepare reports and therapy programmes as required.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals and attend relevant multidisciplinary meetings.
- Support children and families through effective communication and person-centred practice.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Clinic-based paediatric experience.
- Experience working with children with ASD and sensory processing needs.
- Experience supporting children with physical disabilities.
- Strong assessment, communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently within a busy clinic environment.
Working Hours
- 30 hours per week.
- Any days Monday to Friday.
- 08:00 – 16:00 with a 30-minute break.
