Occupational Therapist – Band 6

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting a Band 6 Occupational Therapist for a locum opportunity within North West London NHS. Based at the Riverside Centre, part of Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust, this role offers the opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality occupational therapy services within a specialist healthcare setting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a caseload of service users, undertaking occupational therapy assessments, delivering therapeutic interventions, and supporting individuals to maximise independence, recovery, and participation in meaningful activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and formulate intervention plans.
• Manage a caseload of service users, ensuring high-quality, person-centred care.
• Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to support recovery and independence.
• Assess functional abilities and identify barriers to participation in daily activities.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and achieve positive outcomes.
• Contribute to care planning, risk management, and discharge planning processes as appropriate.
• Provide advice, guidance, and education to service users, carers, and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with HCPC and NHS standards.
• Participate in service development and quality improvement initiatives where required.

About You

You will be a motivated and experienced Occupational Therapist with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. You will possess strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills and be confident managing a varied caseload within a multidisciplinary environment.

You will be an effective communicator with the ability to build positive therapeutic relationships and contribute to the delivery of excellent healthcare services.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Experience working as an Occupational Therapist within NHS or comparable healthcare services.
• Strong assessment, treatment planning, and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and record-keeping skills.
• Commitment to evidence-based and person-centred practice.
