- Carry out complex and detailed assessments of vulnerable adults in care homes, hospitals, and other settings under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 to determine whether they are being deprived of their liberty and whether this is in their best interests
- Work with the Lead Practitioner Mental Capacity Act / DoLS to ensure efficient operational management of the MCA/DoLS service and the delivery of high-quality, responsive, and safe best interest assessments
- Be accountable to the Supervisory Body and contribute to effective service delivery
- Provide a high standard of work to adults and/or carers and work collaboratively with colleagues in Communities, Adults and Health in line with the Council’s duties under the Care Act 2014
- Safeguard adults and carers at risk of harm and promote Making Safeguarding Personal principles and wellbeing
