About the Role
Nobles Hospital is seeking an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join their acute inpatient services. The successful candidate will support both acute medical and orthopaedic wards, contributing to high-quality patient care and timely MDT discharge planning. This post is available to start as soon as possible.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and interventions within acute medical and orthopaedic ward settings.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to support efficient and safe discharge planning.
- Manage a complex and varied caseload, promoting independence and functional recovery.
- Apply clinical knowledge in supporting patients with cardiac conditions (beneficial).
- Develop, deliver and evaluate goal-focused rehabilitation programmes tailored to patient needs.
- Ensure accurate and timely record keeping in line with HCPC and NHS standards.
Requirements
- HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in acute medical and/or orthopaedic wards.
- Knowledge of managing patients with cardiac conditions is advantageous.
- Strong MDT working, communication and discharge planning skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage clinical priorities effectively.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Working Hours
- Up to 37.5 hours per week.
