This role involves managing complex cases, providing high-level social work expertise, and supporting junior colleagues to ensure positive outcomes for children and families.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a complex caseload of children and families requiring statutory interventions

Undertake detailed assessments, care planning, and risk management
-
Provide guidance and mentorship to less experienced social workers

Prepare reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings
-
Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners to safeguard children
-
Ensure compliance with statutory frameworks, policies, and best practices
Requirements:
-
SWE registration
-
Minimum of 3 years’ post-qualifying experience in children’s statutory social work
-
Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation and child protection processes
-
Excellent communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
