  • Join Derbyshire County Council as an Advanced Practitioner to lead on complex and high-risk cases, providing expert practice oversight in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004 and relevant safeguarding legislation.

  • Support the development and delivery of high-quality, child-focused assessments, care plans, and interventions that promote safety, stability, and improved outcomes.

  • Provide professional leadership, mentoring, and reflective supervision to social workers, newly qualified staff, and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Take a lead role in safeguarding processes, including chairing strategy discussions, contributing to Section 47 enquiries, and supporting court proceedings.

  • Promote and model effective multi-agency working with professionals from health, education, police, and voluntary services to deliver coordinated support for children and families.

  • Contribute to service development and quality assurance initiatives across Derbyshire County Council, using audit, feedback, and reflective practice to drive best outcomes and compliance with Social Work England standards.
