Join Derbyshire County Council as an Advanced Practitioner to lead on complex and high-risk cases, providing expert practice oversight in accordance with the Children Act 1989/2004 and relevant safeguarding legislation.

Support the development and delivery of high-quality, child-focused assessments, care plans, and interventions that promote safety, stability, and improved outcomes.

Provide professional leadership, mentoring, and reflective supervision to social workers, newly qualified staff, and students, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Take a lead role in safeguarding processes, including chairing strategy discussions, contributing to Section 47 enquiries, and supporting court proceedings.

Promote and model effective multi-agency working with professionals from health, education, police, and voluntary services to deliver coordinated support for children and families.

Contribute to service development and quality assurance initiatives across Derbyshire County Council, using audit, feedback, and reflective practice to drive best outcomes and compliance with Social Work England standards.
