Deliver statutory responsibilities for The Borough Council of Gateshead, supporting children and families under Child in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children frameworks.

Manage a varied and complex caseload, completing high-quality assessments and developing outcome-focused care plans that prioritise the safety and wellbeing of children.

Work in partnership with children, families, and carers to ensure their voices are central to all planning, decision-making, and interventions.

Prepare clear, evidence-based reports for child protection conferences, looked after reviews, and legal proceedings, ensuring compliance with statutory and local procedures.

Collaborate with multi-agency professionals across education, health, police, and voluntary sectors to coordinate effective safeguarding and support responses.

Participate in regular supervision, reflective practice, and training to uphold high professional standards and contribute to continuous service improvement within Gateshead’s Children’s Services.
