Act on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to lead on complex and high-risk cases across Child Protection, Looked After Children, and Court proceedings, applying expert knowledge of safeguarding legislation and best practice.

Support and mentor junior staff and students, offering guidance, informal supervision, and modelling high standards of child-centred, strengths-based practice.

Take the lead on complex assessments and planning, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met and that the child’s voice is central to all decision-making and interventions.

Prepare and quality-assure reports for court, child protection conferences, and looked-after reviews, ensuring professional standards and evidential requirements are met.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and legal services, to deliver integrated, effective support to children and their families.

Contribute to service development and quality assurance, including case audits, reflective discussions, and participation in practice forums within Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council.
