Manage a caseload of complex and high-risk cases on behalf of Durham County Council, including Child Protection, Looked After Children, and court proceedings, ensuring all statutory responsibilities are met.

Provide mentoring, support, and informal supervision to less experienced social workers and students, promoting reflective practice and professional development.

Complete and oversee high-quality assessments, care plans, and risk management strategies, ensuring child-centred, strengths-based, and outcome-focused interventions.

Prepare and quality-assure reports and case documentation for legal proceedings, child protection conferences, and statutory reviews.

Work in partnership with families and multi-agency professionals to ensure coordinated, effective responses to safeguarding and welfare concerns.

Contribute to service improvement and quality assurance activities, including audits, reflective learning, and supporting team development.
