Act on behalf of Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council to lead on complex cases involving Child Protection, Looked After Children, and Court proceedings, applying advanced knowledge of child development and safeguarding legislation.

Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced social workers and students, supporting their development and promoting reflective, evidence-based practice within the team.

Take the lead in complex assessments and planning, ensuring all work is timely, child-focused, and meets statutory responsibilities under the Children Act 1989/2004 and related legislation.

Contribute to service quality assurance, including auditing casework, supporting performance improvement, and sharing best practice across the team and service.

Collaborate effectively with multi-agency partners in safeguarding and care planning processes, promoting coordinated interventions that improve outcomes for children and families.
