Conduct statutory assessments and safeguarding investigations under the Children Act 1989 to protect and promote the welfare of children and young people.

Manage a varied caseload of children and families, providing timely interventions, support planning, and review to improve outcomes.

Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners, including health, education, and voluntary services, to deliver coordinated, child-centred care.

Prepare detailed reports for child protection conferences, court proceedings, and reviews, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal standards.

Maintain comprehensive, timely case records using the council’s electronic recording system in line with statutory and local policies.

Maintain professional registration with Social Work England and engage in ongoing supervision, training, and continuing professional development (CPD).
