Northampton Children’s Trust is seeking a dedicated and experienced Social Worker to join our Court Work team. This role focuses on managing complex cases involved in legal proceedings to safeguard children and support families through the court process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of children and families involved in court proceedings.

  • Prepare detailed, evidence-based reports for court hearings and child protection conferences.

  • Attend court hearings to present professional recommendations and provide expert evidence.

  • Work closely with legal teams, families, and partner agencies to ensure the best outcomes for children.

  • Maintain accurate and timely case records in line with statutory requirements.

Essential Requirements:

  • Experience in children’s social work, particularly court and child protection cases.

  • Current Social Work England (SWE) registration.

  • Strong knowledge of legal frameworks and court procedures related to children’s services.

  • Excellent report writing, communication, and advocacy skills.
