View JobWirral Council is seeking an experienced Locum Qualified Social Worker to join their [Children’s/Adults/Mental Health/other] Social Care team. The role involves working with vulnerable individuals and families to assess needs, manage risk, and support positive outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct statutory assessments and develop care/support plans in line with legislation and local policies.

Undertake safeguarding enquiries and contribute to protection plans where necessary.

Work closely with multi-agency partners including health, education, and voluntary sector.

Attend relevant meetings such as Child Protection Conferences, Court Hearings, or Care Reviews.
-
Maintain accurate and timely records on the council’s case management system.
-
Participate in supervision, team meetings, and continuous professional development.
Requirements:
-
Social Work England (SWE) registration.
-
Right to work in the UK.
-
Minimum 2 years’ experience in statutory social work, preferably within the specified team.
