Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Locum)

About the Role

 

Shropshire Community Health NHS Trust is seeking a Band 6 Physiotherapist to join the community therapy service. This role will be primarily based at Bishops Castle Community Hospital, with additional cover provided to the Southwest Community Team. The post holder will deliver high-quality physiotherapy assessment and intervention to patients within community hospital and community settings.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Provide physiotherapy assessment, treatment and rehabilitation for patients within the community hospital setting.
  • Support patients across the Southwest Community Team as required.
  • Develop and implement individualised rehabilitation and mobility programmes.
  • Work collaboratively within the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with Trust and HCPC standards.

 

Skills & Experience Required

 

  • HCPC-registered Physiotherapist.
  • Experience working at Band 6 level or equivalent.
  • Community and/or community hospital experience.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, assessment and communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly across services.

 

Working Hours

 

  • Full time.
  • 37.5 hours per week.
