Job details: CAMHS/ Neurodevelopmental Practitioner required to join Bee U Austim/ADHD team for approx. To start asap for 12 weeks. Providing Psychosocial and standardised assessments. Working with young people 5- 18 years. Must be experienced in assessment, diagnosis and ADHD interventions. Applicants considered from Mental Health/Learning Disabilities, AHP’s such as Occupational Therapists and or Speech and Language Therapist, or Social Workers with the relevant skill and experience. The postholder will be required to work as part of a highly motivated multidisciplinary team supporting in the triage referrals, providing psychosocial assessments, standardised assessments, contributing to diagnostic discussions, providing feedback to families, and writing diagnostic reports. JD available on request. Main duties of the job
- Ensure the delivery of highquality ND assessments within the BeeU team. The work is with children and young people aged 5-18 years with significant concerns around their social communication and interaction.
- ADHD assessment involving the interpretation and integration of complex data from a variety of sources including psychological and where appropriate selfreport measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi structured interviews.
- Autism assessment involves contributing to and leading on specialist assessments for children with complex social, interaction and communication difficulties. This would include the use of standardised assessment tools e.g. ADIR, ADOS.
- To ensure assessments are provided in line with NICE Guidance as well as other relevant local and national documentation.
- Demonstrate high personal standards in clinical practice.
- Responsible for prioritising workload, allocation of work to oneself and other staff, and to cover all levels of priority of work within the service.
- To make clinical judgements backed up by clinical reasoning and recommendations regarding appropriate actions/sign posting in consultation with multidisciplinary staff and in accordance with the service specification.
- Knowledge of national, regional and local drivers underpinning service delivery.
- Up to date knowledge and experience of clinical developments for professionals working within Neurodevelopmental pathways and mental health children’s services.
Working hours: Full time. Monday to Friday, 09.00 – 17.00.
