Bracknell Forest Council is looking for an experienced and motivated Assistant Team Manager (ATM) to join their Child Protection team. This role involves supporting the Team Manager in overseeing practice quality, supervising staff, and ensuring effective safeguarding interventions are delivered in line with statutory duties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide reflective supervision, support, and oversight to a team of social workers managing CP, CIN, and court work.

  • Ensure timely and high-quality assessments, plans, and interventions are in place for children and families.

  • Lead case discussions, strategy meetings, and step-up/step-down decisions in collaboration with partner agencies.

  • Support performance management, audit activity, and service improvement initiatives within the team.

  • Assist with the allocation and prioritisation of cases, and monitor workflow to meet statutory timescales.

  • Act as a practice lead, promoting continuous professional development and high standards of safeguarding practice.

Requirements: SWE registration, right to work in the UK, and a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualified experience in children’s services, including supervisory or ATM-level responsibilities.
