Lead on complex and high-risk cases for Bedford Borough Council, including Child Protection, Looked After Children, and court proceedings, ensuring high-quality, child-centred practice.
Provide expert guidance, mentoring, and informal supervision to social workers and students, promoting reflective practice, professional development, and consistency across the team.
Oversee and quality-assure statutory assessments, care planning, and safeguarding interventions, ensuring compliance with legislation and local procedures.
Chair and contribute to multi-agency meetings and best interest decision-making, fostering collaborative working to improve outcomes for children and families.
Prepare and review analytical, evidence-based reports for court, case conferences, and internal panels, maintaining high standards of professional documentation.
Support service development and continuous improvement through case audits, practice learning, and the implementation of Bedford Borough Council’s children’s social care priorities.
