Job details:  For 12 weeks. 42 bedded older people’s rehab unit based in a large Community Hospital providing assessment, treatment and discharge planning for older patients transferred from acute hospitals for ongoing rehabilitation once medically stable. Patients have a wide variety of comorbidities and long term conditions leading to admission including falls, fractures, generally not coping at home, Parkinson’s Disease, dementia so experience in this field is required. Role will include initial assessments, rehabilitation in activities of daily living such as kitchen tasks and washing and dressing, cognitive assessments, access visits/ home visits. Car not required.

Other team members physiotherapists, speech and language therapist, rehab assistants nursing team medical staff. Experience of working within field of older people/ rehabilitation. Working hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
