Role Overview
An experienced Senior Occupational Therapist is required for a 3-month locum assignment within the Integrated Front Door Service at the London Borough of Harrow. This role sits at the first point of contact for Adult Social Care and plays a key role in timely assessment, triage and intervention to support independence and prevent escalation.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level occupational therapy input within the Integrated Front Door service.
- Undertake assessments to support timely decision-making and appropriate onward pathways.
- Apply strengths-based and preventative approaches to promote independence.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary colleagues across health and social care.
- Offer professional advice, guidance and clinical reasoning on complex cases.
- Support effective triage, prioritisation and risk management.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with council policies and statutory requirements.
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with HCPC registration.
- Significant post-qualifying experience within Adult Social Care.
- Experience working at a senior level, ideally within front door, duty or triage services.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Care Act.
- Excellent communication, decision-making and organisational skills.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
An excellent short-term opportunity for a Senior OT to contribute to a high-impact frontline service within a London local authority.
