Job details:  Occupational Health Technician required for 3 months. JD available on request. As an Occupational Health Technician, the post holder will play a key role in delivering a high-quality Occupational Health Service (OH). The post holder will be responsible for managing the health screening and health surveillance programmes for key clients as well as undertaking technical tasks such as health surveillance assessments. These tasks will be under the supervision of an NMC registered Occupational Health & Wellbeing Advisor. They will participate and actively contribute to the organisation’s promotion of health and wellbeing initiatives aimed at Gloucestershire County Council employees and other key stakeholders. This role will involve working on their own and taking initiative, working as part of multidisciplinary team and may involve site visits. Experience within a health care setting, supervision skills and good IT skills are desirable for this dynamic role.
• The post holder will be expected to have experience of customer care in a health-based role.
• This role will be focused on undertaking the councils Health MOTs with staff
• Some lifting and handling of clinical equipment is expected.
• Must comply with Data Protection Act and Council’s Codes of Conduct/Policies, including those for accessing personal/sensitive data.

• Provide occupational therapy advice to other disciplines.
