Job details:  To cover vacancy. Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist required to join the Community Network Team, delivering community services to adult patients in the Bridgend Locality. The Community Network Team is an integrated health and social care service which provides a range of interventions to promote independence by avoiding admission to hospital or long-term care. It also aims to improve the ability of people who live with long term conditions to care for themselves and live independently in the community for longer. The post holder will be forward thinking and able to demonstrate advanced clinical knowledge when working with a variety of adults with acquired communication and swallowing disorders, including those following stroke, head injuries, and progressive neurological conditions diagnoses. They will autonomously undertake highly specialist assessments and interventions with individuals with complex communication difficulties and rehabilitation. They will provide a service in clients’ own homes, care homes and the local community. Working hours: 08.30 – 16.30.
