Job details: To start asap. Additional demand. Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist required. Role will include: Working in closed trauma fracture clinics, out-patient clinics and wards - with post-operative and non-operative patients. Hand therapy for adults and children with trauma and acquired conditions - including splinting, exercises, functional rehabilitation, scar and oedema management.
Essential Criteria: • HCPC registered
• Significant clinical experience in hand therapy – assessment, splinting and modalities.
• Able to clinically reason for simple and more complex trauma and acquired hand and wrist conditions including tendon and nerve repairs, fractures, conditions such as Dupuytren’s, OA, wrist pain, De Quervain’s.
• Ability to carry a caseload of adults and paediatrics and help junior therapists with clinical reasoning and treatment planning
• Experience in interpreting hand and wrist X rays
Desirable: • Have worked in UK NHS system in a Hand Therapy Band 6 or 7 role
Working hours: Up to 37.5 hours per week across 4 weekdays.
