Job Overview

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for four Occupational Therapists to join Adult Social Services within the London Borough of Harrow. These ongoing locum opportunities are suitable for experienced Occupational Therapists looking to work within a community-based social care environment.

The roles will focus on supporting people to maximise their independence, safety and quality of life through appropriate occupational therapy assessment and intervention. Key areas of work include double-to-single handed care assessments, minor adaptations and equipment provision.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive Occupational Therapy assessments within an adult social care setting.
• Assess individuals requiring support with daily living activities, independence and safety.
• Undertake assessments relating to double-to-single handed care and identify opportunities to promote independence.
• Assess for and recommend appropriate equipment and minor adaptations.
• Provide person-centred recommendations based on functional needs, risks and individual circumstances.
• Work collaboratively with service users, families, carers and relevant professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely records in line with professional and local authority requirements.

About You

We are looking for Occupational Therapists who are confident undertaking functional assessments and recommending appropriate interventions within an adult social care environment. You will have a person-centred approach and be able to assess complex needs while promoting independence, choice and safety.

Requirements

• Qualified Occupational Therapist.
• Relevant Occupational Therapy experience within adult social care or community services.
• Experience of functional assessments and identifying appropriate care and support solutions.
• Experience with equipment provision and minor adaptations.
• Experience or understanding of double-to-single handed care assessments is desirable.
• Strong communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
