The London Borough of Haringey is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to provide a high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention service to individuals with complex care and therapy needs across the borough.

The successful Occupational Therapist will work collaboratively with residents to understand their individual needs, promote independence and support integration within their communities. This is an opportunity to make a positive difference by delivering person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions that contribute to improved outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to individuals with complex care and therapy needs.
• Complete appropriate assessments to identify residents’ functional needs and support requirements.
• Work collaboratively with residents to establish appropriate goals and outcomes.
• Develop and deliver person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions to promote independence.
• Support residents to maximise their ability to participate in daily activities and community life.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and relevant professionals to achieve improved outcomes across the borough.
• Apply professional Occupational Therapy knowledge and clinical reasoning to complex cases.
• Maintain accurate and timely professional records in line with service requirements.
• Review interventions and outcomes to ensure support remains appropriate to individual needs.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Occupational Therapist who is comfortable working with individuals with complex care and therapy needs. You will have strong assessment and intervention skills and a person-centred approach to supporting residents to achieve greater independence.

You will be an effective communicator who can build positive working relationships with residents, colleagues and other professionals. A commitment to collaborative practice and achieving improved outcomes will be essential to the role.

Requirements

• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Relevant Occupational Therapy experience, ideally within adult social care or a community setting.
• Experience working with individuals with complex care and therapy needs.
• Strong Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with residents and other professionals.
• Strong communication, organisational and clinical reasoning skills.
• Commitment to promoting independence and achieving positive outcomes.
