Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join Locala Community Partnerships in Liversedge, West Yorkshire. This ongoing locum opportunity is supporting Intermediate Care (IMC) beds, providing Occupational Therapy input to patients as part of a community-based rehabilitation service.

The successful Occupational Therapist will use their clinical expertise to assess and support patients within the IMC bed service, working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to contribute to safe and effective patient care and rehabilitation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention to patients within the IMC bed service.
• Use clinical reasoning to identify patients’ functional needs and appropriate Occupational Therapy interventions.
• Support patients to maximise their independence and functional outcomes during their period of intermediate care.
• Work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team to deliver coordinated, patient-centred care.
• Contribute to appropriate discharge planning and ongoing rehabilitation as part of the IMC service.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in line with professional and service requirements.
• Work in accordance with relevant NHS policies, professional standards and clinical procedures.

About You

We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist with relevant UK NHS experience and the ability to work confidently within a community-based intermediate care environment. You should have strong clinical reasoning and communication skills, with the ability to contribute effectively to multidisciplinary rehabilitation and patient-centred care.

Requirements

• Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Relevant UK NHS Occupational Therapy experience is essential.
• Experience working within intermediate care, rehabilitation or a comparable clinical setting is desirable.
• Ability to assess functional needs and provide appropriate Occupational Therapy interventions.
• Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.
