Job Details
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is seeking an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist to join its service on a locum basis, starting ASAP for an initial period of 3–6 weeks.
The successful candidate will have previous acute hospital experience and be confident working within a busy clinical environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a Physiotherapist looking for a short-term NHS placement within South London.
Key Responsibilities

Provide high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment within an acute clinical setting.

Manage an allocated caseload, prioritising patients according to clinical need.

Complete comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate, evidence-based treatment plans.

Deliver individualised physiotherapy interventions to support patients’ mobility, function and independence.

Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans accordingly.

Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to support effective patient management and discharge planning.

Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with professional and NHS standards.

Ensure safe and effective patient care while working within relevant clinical guidelines and policies.
Essential Skills & Experience

Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.

Current HCPC registration.

Previous experience working as a Physiotherapist within an acute hospital setting.

Strong clinical assessment and treatment skills.

Ability to manage and prioritise a busy caseload.

Excellent communication and multidisciplinary working skills.

Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making abilities.

Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider clinical team.

Immediate availability is desirable.
