Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Occupational Therapist for a locum opportunity within Hampshire Social Services, covering West Hampshire and based in Winchester.
The successful candidate will join the service on an initial three-month assignment, providing Occupational Therapy support within the local authority service.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention appropriate to service user needs.
- Assess functional needs and identify appropriate Occupational Therapy support.
- Develop person-centred recommendations to promote independence and wellbeing.
- Work collaboratively with service users, carers, colleagues, and relevant partner agencies.
- Manage allocated Occupational Therapy work effectively and prioritise according to service requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely records in line with professional and service standards.
- Work in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, safeguarding requirements, and professional standards.
About You
You will be a qualified and experienced Occupational Therapist with the ability to work effectively within a Social Services environment. You will demonstrate strong assessment, communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills.
Requirements
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Occupational Therapy experience within a relevant health or social care setting.
- Strong assessment and clinical reasoning skills.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team.
