Brief Job Overview
Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist for a locum opportunity with Ashford and St Peter’s NHS Trust, based at Woking Hospital. Working within the Surrey NHS, you will provide specialist Occupational Therapy input within the Neuro Rehabilitation service.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Occupational Therapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation who is looking to contribute to a specialist NHS service and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention within the Neuro Rehabilitation service.
- Assess patients’ functional abilities and occupational needs as part of the rehabilitation process.
- Develop and deliver appropriate, person-centred Occupational Therapy interventions.
- Support patients to maximise their independence, function, and quality of life.
- Work collaboratively with patients, carers, families, and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Apply specialist clinical reasoning to inform assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation planning.
- Monitor patient progress and adapt interventions according to individual rehabilitation needs.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and Trust requirements.
- Contribute effectively to multidisciplinary working and the wider Neuro Rehabilitation service.
About You
You will be an experienced Band 7 Occupational Therapist with relevant Neuro Rehabilitation experience. You will be confident undertaking specialist assessments and interventions and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary NHS environment.
You will demonstrate strong clinical reasoning, communication, and rehabilitation skills, with a commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy.
Requirements
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Experience working within Neuro Rehabilitation.
- Experience working within an NHS or similar clinical environment.
- Strong specialist Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention skills.
- Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Commitment to person-centred and evidence-based practice.
