Job Overview

Tripod Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join the London Borough of Sutton Adult Social Care service in South London.

This is an excellent locum opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to use their professional expertise to assess the needs of adults, develop appropriate interventions and support positive outcomes that promote independence, safety and wellbeing.

The successful Occupational Therapist will be required to complete a minimum of 10 case closures per month, making this role particularly suited to an experienced practitioner who is confident managing assessments and progressing cases efficiently through to closure.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertake Occupational Therapy assessments for adults with a range of care and support needs.
• Complete assessments and interventions in line with professional standards and relevant statutory requirements.
• Identify functional needs, risks and barriers to independence.
• Develop practical, person-centred recommendations to promote independence, safety and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with adults, families, carers and relevant professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
• Manage a caseload effectively and progress cases towards timely and appropriate closure.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive assessment and case records.
• Meet the minimum commitment of 10 completed case closures per month.
• Apply professional judgement when assessing complex needs and determining appropriate outcomes.
• Work within relevant Occupational Therapy, adult social care and safeguarding frameworks.

About You

We are looking for a confident and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist with strong adult social care assessment skills and the ability to manage a caseload efficiently.

You will be able to demonstrate sound clinical reasoning, strong organisational skills and a person-centred approach. You should be comfortable working autonomously while maintaining high professional standards and delivering timely outcomes.

Requirements

• Qualified Occupational Therapist with relevant professional registration.
• Significant experience working as an Occupational Therapist with adults.
• Experience undertaking assessments and identifying functional needs and risks.
• Strong knowledge of person-centred Occupational Therapy practice.
• Ability to manage a caseload independently and work towards agreed case closure targets.
• Excellent communication, assessment and report-writing skills.
• Ability to make sound professional decisions and recommendations.
• Commitment to delivering safe, effective and outcome-focused services.
