Rehab Assistant – Part Time

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting 2x Rehab Assistants for a locum opportunity with Peartree Rehabilitation in Southampton. Working within the Hampshire Private sector, you will support the rehabilitation service in delivering high-quality, person-centred support to service users.

This is a part-time locum opportunity for a minimum of 12 weeks, with the service requiring cover across 7 days a week. The role offers the opportunity to work within a rehabilitation setting as part of a wider care and therapy team.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the rehabilitation service with the delivery of day-to-day rehabilitation activities.
• Assist service users with rehabilitation and therapeutic activities as directed by the clinical team.
• Support individuals to maximise their independence, function, mobility, and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively with Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and other members of the wider team.
• Follow individual rehabilitation plans and provide appropriate practical support to service users.
• Observe and report relevant changes or concerns to appropriate clinical colleagues.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, confidentiality, health and safety, and professional conduct.
• Contribute to a positive, supportive, and person-centred rehabilitation environment.

About You

You will be a reliable, motivated, and compassionate Rehab Assistant who is comfortable supporting individuals within a rehabilitation environment. You will have a positive approach to patient care and be able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Flexibility is important for this role, as the service operates across 7 days a week and requires cover between 09:00 and 16:00.

Requirements

• Previous experience within a rehabilitation, healthcare, therapy, or care setting is desirable.
• Understanding of person-centred care and rehabilitation.
• Ability to support service users with rehabilitation activities and programmes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with clinical and multidisciplinary teams.
• Reliable, flexible, and professional approach to patient care.
• Availability to work within the service’s 7-day operating pattern.
