Community Physiotherapist – Band 6 (Part Time)

Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Community Neuro Physiotherapist for a part-time locum opportunity with Locala Community Partnerships CIC, covering Kirklees, including Huddersfield, Dewsbury, and Batley. Working within the North West NHS, you will provide specialist neurological physiotherapy to patients within a community setting.

This is a face-to-face role suited to a Physiotherapist with strong neurological rehabilitation experience and relevant UK NHS experience. You will provide patient-centred assessment and rehabilitation, supporting individuals to maximise their mobility, function, independence, and quality of life within their community environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist neurological physiotherapy assessment and intervention within a community setting.
  • Manage an allocated caseload of patients with neurological conditions.
  • Undertake comprehensive face-to-face assessments of mobility, function, strength, balance, and rehabilitation needs.
  • Develop and deliver individualised, evidence-based physiotherapy rehabilitation programmes.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment programmes according to clinical need and functional outcomes.
  • Promote independence and support patients to achieve meaningful rehabilitation goals within their own community environment.
  • Provide advice and education to patients, carers, and families to support ongoing rehabilitation and self-management.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary colleagues and wider community services to provide coordinated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional and service requirements.
  • Manage clinical workload effectively and prioritise patients according to need.

About You

You will be an experienced HCPC-registered Physiotherapist with essential experience in Neurological Physiotherapy and relevant UK NHS experience. You will be confident delivering face-to-face community rehabilitation and managing your own clinical caseload.

You will have strong clinical reasoning, communication, and rehabilitation skills, with a commitment to delivering person-centred care that promotes independence and positive outcomes.

Requirements

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
  • Current HCPC registration.
  • Neurological Physiotherapy experience is essential.
  • Relevant UK experience within the NHS is essential.
  • Experience working within a community rehabilitation setting is desirable.
  • Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and rehabilitation skills.
  • Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
  • Ability to deliver face-to-face physiotherapy within community settings.
  • Ability to manage a clinical caseload effectively and work autonomously.
