Brief Job Overview

Tripod Partners are recruiting an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Physiotherapist for a locum opportunity with Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. Working within the South London NHS, you will join the integrated Children’s Physiotherapy Service, providing specialist neurological and neurodevelopmental physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and review for children across community and clinical settings.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Children’s Physiotherapist with strong Paediatric MSK and Neurological experience. You will work autonomously across a variety of community locations, including CHS facilities, children’s homes, nurseries, and schools, helping children achieve their functional and developmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide specialist neurological and neurodevelopmental physiotherapy assessment, intervention, and review for children eligible for physiotherapy provision from Croydon Health Services.
• Manage an autonomous paediatric physiotherapy caseload across community and clinical settings.
• Undertake comprehensive assessments and develop appropriate evidence-based physiotherapy intervention programmes.
• Provide specialist physiotherapy input for children presenting with neurological, neurodevelopmental, and musculoskeletal conditions.
• Deliver physiotherapy across a variety of community locations, including CHS facilities, children’s homes, nurseries, and schools.
• Review and adapt treatment programmes in response to children’s changing needs and progress.
• Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, education settings, and wider multidisciplinary professionals.
• Contribute to the delivery of an integrated Children’s Physiotherapy Service across Croydon.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with professional and Trust requirements.
• Work in accordance with HCPC standards and NHS professional practice requirements.

About You

You will be a confident and experienced Band 6 Children’s Physiotherapist with current HCPC registration and NHS experience. You will have specialist experience across paediatric MSK and neurological/neurodevelopmental physiotherapy and be comfortable working autonomously within community settings.

You will have excellent communication and clinical reasoning skills and be committed to delivering child-centred, evidence-based physiotherapy interventions in partnership with families, education settings, and multidisciplinary colleagues.

Requirements

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Physiotherapy.
• Current HCPC registration.
• NHS experience.
• Significant experience working as a Children’s Physiotherapist at Band 6 level.
• Experience covering Paediatric MSK and Neurological cases.
• Experience providing neurological and neurodevelopmental physiotherapy assessment and intervention.
• Ability to work across community and clinical settings.
• Excellent assessment, clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to an integrated multidisciplinary service.
